I always knew that I wanted to work with people in a helping profession and I have loved working with clients as a therapist since beginning my career. I remain to be interested in understanding what leads us to make the choices we do in life and how that impacts our relationships. I would consider myself a therapy nerd as I am always buying more books than I can read and devouring podcasts on all topics related to human behavior, therapy and relationship dynamics.
I completed my bachelors degree in psychology then upon completing my degree I entered massage school in an attempt to create a holistic experience between mind and body. I later chose to pursue graduate school and obtained my masters degree in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy. I consider myself a humanistic therapist and am very personable and transparent with all of my clients about who I am as a person and my values. I bring to the table 15 years of professional experience but also personal experience as a trauma survivor myself having experienced childhood trauma as well as birth trauma and the death of my first daughter Verity. I know first hand what it's like to face difficult life experiences and how much courage it takes to seek out support when it's needed. I do not view myself as someone on the other side of you, but rather a partner collaborating with you to accomplish your goals. When I’m not working with clients I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my daughter Aura and dog Summit. I love traveling, eating all kinds of foods and getting outside as much as possible. |
